WHS Volleyball Camp Set to Serve Up Summer Fun for Young Athletes
WETUMPKA, Ala. — Young athletes in the River Region will have the opportunity to bump, set, and spike their way into summer at the WHS Volleyball Kids Camp, set for June 24, 2025, at the Wetumpka High School Competition Gym.
Open to children ages 8 to 12 (grades 3rd through 6th), the one-day camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and promises a full day of instruction, fun, and team-building led by the WHS varsity volleyball team. Campers will learn foundational skills like serving, passing, and gameplay strategies through warm-ups, drills, and friendly matches.
"This is a great opportunity for kids whether they're new to volleyball or already have experience," said organizers. "It's all about learning in a fun, encouraging environment."
The cost of the camp is $75 and includes a commemorative T-shirt and lunch for all participants. Campers will also enjoy a chance to showcase what they've learned during a series of games at the end of the day.
